All security personnel of Lone Star Security, are trained and licened with the S.I.A. When a new applicant is interested in employment with Lone Star, the applicant MUST present a valid S.I.A badge.

The badge is then verified by the security industry authority. This ensures that the S.I.A has completed a criminal background check on each new applicant/employee.

We also do our own check for added security for our clients.

New Applicants are required to complete a standard Lone Star Application form, as well as other documentaion. Candidates are advised to bring the following detailed information such as; a valid passport or proof of identification for meeting home office requirements for proof of employment eligibility, educational diplomas, security certifications and other documentation that will assist Lone Start Security in evaluating their application such as first aid certifications etc.

Once the application is completed, the Director reviews it. Upon completion of reference and background checks, only the most qualified applicants are scheduled for an interview. Questions including those dealing with convictions, employment history, or character references during the interview, the candidates grooming, personal appearance and verbal skills are evaluated. In addition to evaluating the candidate with respect to rejection and acceptance criteria, the Director will evaluate such intrinsic factors as responsible actions, self-discipline, honesty, integrity and trustworthiness.

These factors will also be considered when evaluating those applicants who are finally accepted for employment with Lone Star Security. Lone Star Security's Director and Supervisors stay informed and up to date on the latest training techniques, basic first aid, effective communications, legal authority, law of arrest, job safety and/or equipment and public relations. These Supervisors perform insepections of our security personnel for personal apperance, neatness, condition of uniforms, alertness and knowledge of the general and specific security instructions relating to your operations. Since this is group is a vital extention of the management team, proper selection and training is important.

 Lone Star Security has developed formal programs to prepare our security personnel including seminars, classroom training, video instruction, public relations with emphasis on serving the client and the public and the organizational policy and procedural manual. We also arrange training in non-physical assertiveness where needed.
